Mac Collins Fighting for Ban on Partial-Birth Abortion, Where's Johnny?

Mac Collins Calls Judges Ruling on Abortion "Barbaric"

Congressman Mac Collins: A San Francisco judges' ruling that the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act is unconstitutional is yet another example of how liberals and moderates are assaulting our moral values.

The procedure of partial-birth abortion is barbaric and so is this ruling. It is wrong to perform this procedure. It is wrong to deny life to an innocent baby and cause it pain.

Today's ruling is another example of how activist judges are taking the law into their own hands."

Keeping with his consistent 100% pro-life record, Mac Collins is an original co-sponsor of the Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act.

The ACLJ (American Center for Law and Justice) filed an amicus brief with the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York representing 25 members of Congress who co-sponsored the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act.

The ACLJ represents itself and 25 members of Congress. They include: Robert B. Aderholt (R-AL), Todd Akin (R-MO), Bob Beauprez (R-CO), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Roy Blunt (R-MO), Michael C. Burgess (R-TX), Michael "Mac" Collins (R-GA), Jo Ann S. Davis (R-VA), Jim DeMint (R-SC), Jo Ann H. Emerson (R-MO), Tom Feeney (R-FL), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Trent Franks (R-AZ), Scott Garrett (R-NJ), Phil Gingrey (R-GA), Melissa A. Hart (R-PA), Ernest J. Istook, Jr. (R-OK), Walter Jones, Jr. (R-NC), Ric Keller (R-FL), Marilyn Musgrave (R-CO), Charles "Chip" Pickering, Jr. (R-MS), Joseph R. Pitts (R-PA), Jim R. Ryun (R-KS), Rep. Mark Souder (R-IN), John Sullivan (R-OK).

Now here’s the question of the day!

WHERE'S JOHNNY?

Georgia Democrats have Johnny Isakson

Isakson is not a "moderate." He voted on opposite sides of most issues from Mac Collins and Saxby Chambliss.

Johnny Isakson voted on the same sides as Nancy Polosi and Dick Gephardt.

Johnny can’t erase his record on abortion. Isakson ran for governor in 1990 on a pro-choice platform, stating his support for legalized abortion. He first ran for Senate earlier as a pro-choice candidate, and in this race has been endorsed by the pro-choice Republican Main Street Partnership.
